Into its 22rd year, The Vertical Marathon is an event that the Banyan Tree Bangkok has been organising since 1999 to raise funds for charity and donate the proceeds to the “HIV Formula Feeding Fund” of The Thai Red Cross, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali. Fitness enthusiasts and charity supporters will be returning to Banyan Tree Bangkok on Sunday, 14th December 2025. Runners race up vertically for 1,093 steps or 61 stories. The finishing point of the race is at the amazing Vertigo rooftop.

In 2026, we proudly present the “Muangthai Triathlon Eco Hero Super Series,” a new concept designed to inspire athletes to engage in environmental conservation and clean energy awareness. The series features three events throughout the year: Blue Guardian at SamRoiYod beach in March, Solar Future at Bankrut beach in July, and Green Genesis in November at a location to be announced.

This year, together with Muangthai Life Assurance PCL, we aim to expand the impact of triathlon by promoting sustainability while continuing to support tourism in secondary cities and creating economic opportunities for local communities. To make this journey even more memorable, we are also introducing a special three-piece puzzle medal for athletes who complete all series.
